  Our party of four had a wonderful dinner experience. While waiting for our table, we had a great cocktail served up by a very nice bartender. The two dining areas were lovely and quiet. And, of course, the best part, the food! We had filets of sole and beef tenderloins. Everything was so well prepared, bread, vegetables, nothing was plated as a second thought. We look forward to our return for a prix fix dinner, selections look great, but we'll have to get their early; well worth it, we’re sure. L’Alouette is a nice break from the noisy, crowded “seafood” places on the Cape. Thank you to the chef and staff!!

  The veal is so delicious! The flounder is amazing and both are with Good size. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

  Even though I am forced to give the place one star to post, I would give this restaurant zero stars which is very disappointing in the offseason on the Cape for the few local establishments that stay open.
  
  My wife and I had not been since hearing mixed reviews following the change in ownership. However, after personally meeting Christian at another Chatham restaurant that we go to regularly, we decided to give them a try. The Hostess/Waitress was very nice and everything was great prior to the main meal arriving. My wife had the Sea of Love which she liked very much. I ordered the Fillet, extremely rare (in fact the bill that was first presented to me said as rare as possible). When the fillet arrived, while the middle appeared rare, the steak was hot/warm through.. I asked the Hostess/Waitress to please have it cooked properly. She came bake with the same steak (moved around on the plate) and informed me that in order for it to be edible, the Chef/Owner could not cook it any less but would not charge me for the steak (last time I checked, edible was defined by your customer). After finishing our meal (including less than a third of the poorly cooked and re-presented fillet) we asked for the check. It came with a full charge for the steak. I asked the Hostess/Waitress to adjust it and remove the charge for the steak (as she had said to begin with). She returned stating that the Chef/Owner would split the cost with me and then proceeded to lie about having said we would not be charged for it???? I may be deaf, but my wife is clearly not - make sure you don't have witnesses if you want to lie.
  
  Had it been only the opinion on proper temperature of a steak, I would have gone back to this restaurant, but then being lied to by the Hostess/Waitress and suggesting that I should pay for the poor steak - not so much. I even asked to speak directly with Christian and was told that he was too stressed in the kitchen with an almost empty restaurant - !!!
  
  Sorry, but will not return and will never recommend to any of our friends. We are full time Chatham residents that try to patronize our local vendors - just ask Bluefins Restaurant. We will not be doing so here and will not recommend.
