  Mooncussers Tavern is an excellent, romantic place with a great bar, great appetizers and live music. We had the Tuna & Avocado Tempura with Wasabi. It was phenomenal. The Mooncussers Greens Salad with Shrimp was delightful, large and tasty. The Dijonnaise Mussels were great also. The Scallop Special with Brown Rice, Bacon and Mint was missing something (taste and pizzazz).
  
  We love the dark and romantic rooms, the service and the whole feel of the place. We will be back many times.
  
  We were there on a rainy and windy fall night and you could not have asked for a more warm, cozy and romantic setting for a fabulous meal.

  Outstanding, classy, and unpretentious upscale New England tavern with some of the best seafood and wild game dishes I've ever had on the Cape, service is fun, engaging, and warm, and prices are moderate, especially on the wine list which has well-curated choices at various price points. I will say without hyperbole that the bluefish I had last night was easily the best I've ever had, anywhere. And the 'lobster martini' which is something a lot of places try, and fail, to make properly, was executed very well, maybe too well, as we received so much butter-poached fresh local lobster that it could have been a meal rather than a starter. My spouse's elk was rich and tender, with just the barest trace of gaminess so you knew it wasn't beef, and was another dish that was generously portioned.
